	Common SMTP Servers

Solution Your ISP provides you with their SMTP server address, as well as the necessary login credentials, when you purchase your Internet Access. Many do not realize this is important information to store and have difficulty retrieving it.
For your convenience we've included a brief list of major SMTP servers below. Choose the one that matches the name of your provider.

Your login is usually your full email address, or your email prefix.. ex. prefix@yourISP.com
Your password is usually the same that you use to retrieve your ISP's webmail.
As a further check on SMTP server abuse, many ISP's are changing the port number of their SMTP server from the default of Port 25. Port 587 is now a common alternate SMTP port.
If connecting to your SMTP server while traveling or from an open wifi access point (coffeeshop, airport, hotel, etc) you may need to connect over SSL. SSL connections use Port 465.
